1973 Chevrolet Nova SS
Immaculate '73 Nova SS.
When this car was restored, it was done with a little twist to make it look more ascetically pleasing. '71-'72 front and rear clips were installed. This car is Hugger Orange with Painted on SS stripes.
Power comes from a 496 CID Big Block Chev. This engine has an Eagle forged rotating assembly, with Merlin cylinder heads that have a mild port and polish job and stainless valves. There is a Lunati hyd roller cam with Crane Gold roller rockers. Fire comes from a Mallory HEI Ignition. Topping off this power house is an Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap intake, and Demon 800 cfd double pumper 4 barrel carb. A Snow Performance Methanol Injection kit has also been installed to aid in making power. This engine produces 595 hp at 5900 rpm. A dyno sheet will come with purchase to back up this number.
Transferring power from the engine is a new 3000 stall lock-up converter and freshly built 700R4 trans. All this gets put to the ground via a Moser Engineering 12 bolt rear end containing 3:90 gears mounted on a Trutrac differential. Aiding in the traction dept. are welded in Competition Engineering frame connectors, along with Competition Engineering Slide-A-Link traction system.
The interior is basically stock except for Recaro bucket seats replacing the original bench seat. A Panasonic aftermarket stereo provides the tunes. There is also a full complement of gauges to monitor the engine. This car is as clean underneath at is is on top. The car also comes with a custom cover from Hugger Covers.
